Camp History
Camp Enterprise began locally in 1993 after a group of area
Rotarian visited the Kansas City program the previous year.
The Rotarians were so impressed with the business skills and
leadership offered through Camp Enterprise that they felt
this was a program they should institute in Southeast Missouri.
Camp Enterprise will be offered for the 19th consecutive
year February 3rd, 2012. Six area Rotary clubs sponsor
Camp Enterprise. The clubs include Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau
County, Perryville, Cape West, Jackson and Puxico.
Since 1993, Junior and Senior high school students from over
20 area schools have participated in this one-day retreat
to study the free enterprise system. Students selected to
attend are treated to one full day of team competition, informational
presentations, and fun!
